Awakenings – Emma Dempsey

For those of you who don’t know me, my name’s Emma. I am a junior here at Loyola, double majoring in Journalism and Women’s Studies & Gender Studies. As I considered a WSGS internship, I knew I wanted to find something that would fit both of my majors. Specifically in terms of WSGS, I’ve loved my classes, and I’ve learned a lot, but I wanted an opportunity to see how I could apply my learning outside the classroom. I wanted to find somewhere I could make a difference and see the impact I’m making. My name is Rashelle Brownfield (They/Them,She/Her), and I am a fourth year student at Loyola University Chicago. This semester, I have decided to do my internship at the Environmental Law and Policy Center of Chicago. The ELPC is a midwest-oriented environmental advocacy organization that operates in several locations. The Terraces at the Clare – Jazmin Pacheco

My name is Jazmin Pacheco, I am 21 years old and I am a current senior at Loyola University of Chicago. This semester I was accepted to be an intern at The Terraces at the Clare in downtown Chicago. The Clare was the best place for me to intern as it is an assisting living home for the elderly, so I can gain skills in programming activities for them but also build clinical experience with the elderly patients.
